How does the Art Mint differ from other online art sites?

The Art Mint is a curated online gallery.  This means that every piece on the Art Mint was hand selected by our in house curators.  We select a small number of artists, visit the artists’ studios, see the work in person, have a conversation about the work, and then decide if they are a good fit for the Art Mint’s customers.
Most online art sites have an “open entry” submission policy, which means almost anyone can be on the site.  Much of the artwork for purchase online are also prints or reproductions, so while they may be slightly less expensive, so will their resale value.  This is not bad, its just different.  We take the time to seek out special pieces, by up and coming talented artists, and deliver them to you at affordable prices.

How do I search for artwork by artist?

You can search by artist in the Product Search box in the top right corner of the site.  Searching here will refine your results by price, media, and artist.

The current Art Mint artists include:

Anna Sorenson, Polly Shindler, Will Hutnick, Kelly Worman, Scott Malbaurn, Linda Lee Nicholas, Nick Naber, Angela Jann, Gail Quagliata, Emily Auchincloss, Christopher Chung, Adrian Landon Brooks, Esther Ruiz, and Matthew Hassell.

I bought a piece on The Art Mint.  Now what?

You will receive 2 emails confirming your order: a PayPal receipt of your purchase and a confirmation that your order was received by The Art Mint.  If you have not received these emails, please check the junk folder in your email account, as sometimes your service may filter these emails as spam.  To avoid this possibility, please add theartmintteam@gmail.com to your address book.  Your new one of a kind artwork will be shipped in the next couple of days, and should be at your doorstep shortly!

How do you package the artwork when it is shipped to me?

As all artwork is original, we take the utmost care to make sure that your piece is packaged carefully and correctly.  All smaller artwork is packaged in large flat envelopes, placed in a protective sleeve, and then between 2 layers of cardboard for extra protection.  Larger pieces are shipped in protective sleeves, but in tubes.

Is all the work on the artwork on the Art Mint in “perfect” condition?

While all works on the Art Mint are original, handmade, one of a kind pieces, some artwork may have small abnormalities, such as small pinholes in corners due to previous exhibition hangings, or staining on the back of the piece from paint soaking through the paper.  This does not reduce the value of the artwork.  It is simply due to the work living in a artist studio environment prior to its arrival at the Art Mint.

Does all work on The Art Mint look exactly like it does online?

Sometimes photographing or scanning artwork slightly changes the color of artwork, but we do our best to make sure that all artwork on the site is a real representation of how it looks in person.  (In addition, colors can vary on your screen from computer to computer.)

What if all the artwork I like is sold out?

You must have great taste!  If you are interested in a particular artist, body of work, or even an individual piece, we are here to help you find another similar piece that will make you just as happy!  While at the Art Mint, we only stock what is on the site, we have great relationships with our artists, and would be happy to pull together some extra images of more work that is not currently online.  Don’t hesitate to ask us.  Think of us as your art consulting and art connecting guru!

What is your return policy?

We do our best to make sure that all artwork is packed professionally for shipment, and that the photography or scanning of the artwork on the site, along with the artwork materials description, is a real representation of how the piece looks in person.  Although, sometimes things out of our control happen in transit.  In the rare case that your artwork were to arrive damaged, please take a photo of the damage upon arrival, and send it to us at theartmintteam@gmail.com within 48 hours.  We will be happy to refund you your money back

The image of the artwork I’m looking at is square and small.  How do I see the full artwork, and zoom to see details online?

If you hover over the image once you have opened the details window, there will be 2 icons in the upper left hand corner of the image: Expand and Zoom.  Simply click on either of these icons to expand the image to it’s correct dimensions, or to zoom in on details of the artwork.

I’m an artist, and I feel like I would be a perfect fit for the Art Mint!  How do I submit my artwork to be considered for the site?

We review bi-annually for new work for the Art Mint site, and accept submissions via email (theartmintteam@gmail.com).  Please send us a link to your website, and we will be happy to take a look.  If we feel like your work is a good fit for the Art Mint and our customers, we will give you a holler.
